I am baaack!

I am baaaack! Sorry have not been here a looong time! Not much is happening due to this Convid-19 going on! I see a lot has change here in Deviantart! Took me time to get used to it, heh! I am still doing art but just have not done a lot, enough to submit them here. In time, I will. As you know(no, you don't :P)....I tend to procrastinate!
All is good with me and the hubby. Two black cats are crazy here too, hehe! And they(the cats) are getting older, my Midnite is already 18 years and Onyx is 10. Midnite on the floor and Onyx on the window sill. This is an old photo from two-three years ago as my office have been renovated as of last year. We love our blackie babies, they are our children with fur. Meow!
We are also still making more home improvements that were long over due neglected from years before I moved here with my husband. It was his house, now I am also on the deed with him after his late wife passed away. It takes time to renovate little by little. Hope all get done one day. Next is to do the shed in the backyard that will be done coming Saturday, August 29, 2020 since it is in bad shape. Will have shrubbery remove in front of the house as well on the same day. We will have many volunteers to help us as we cannot afford companies to come out and do the job, we are not rich! But we are glad to have lots of help for us.

Summer is coming!!!

Just a short journal to bring up some few details regarding my deaf biker group. Camping trip is cancelled this year except some members will be going to South Dakota Bike week in the last of July. Hope they have a safe trip to there as it is a long way from Indiana.
I am enjoying being a fiancee! We haven't made more plans for next year yet, but will get to it. We are great to each other and living each day to the fullest and making the best of it no matter what happens. I love to pick on him, hehe.
He does the same to me then we will laugh at each other's humors. 
The inside of our home is partially done now. They put on floors in the kitchen, living room, the one bedroom. Took out the tub in the bathroom and put in a new shower, no more tub as it is hard for me to get in lifting my legs over the tub. The shower, I can walk into it easier. The deck out back of the house has fresh new wood including on the ramp for wheelchairs or scooters. I can smell the new wood everytime I go out the back door. We planted a large pail some prennials, they are coming up nicely. Same kind of plants put in the smaller pots on the deck. We will soon have one bush pull out as it is way too big, the branch is growing too close to the back door. I certainly don't want myself and other visitors have a branch hitting their faces, no thanks to any scratches!

I am engaged!!!

I am engaged!!! Since April 8 when my fiance proposed to me and I said YES! He got me a nice ring in silver with crystal. This will be my second marriage as we planned the possible wedding for next year hopefully in June as I wanted an outside wedding. Been getting the house all remodeled right now as it was in bad shape inside. The outside is good but not inside due to years of neglection and not be able to get things repair. This house was my Fiance's late wife's, before she passed on, she had him put his hame to him as the owner of the house. Ain't this wonderful?! I am glad I no longer live in an apartment(as I did for 10 years) and a house is where I will stay as it has the laundry facility right in the house, no more going out to do my laundry and we can do whatever we want wih the house. I also have the extra room to do my art, thanks to my fiance! I love him!
I had been doing slate paintings to get them ready to sell at a deaf related event at Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis, Indiana USA on May 3. It was successful, fair earning of money. Lots of people on that day including a deaf actor from a TV show Switched at Birth as he was formerly from the school I went to. It was so cool to see the deaf actor named Sean Berdy who played Emmett in the show. He was right in the next booth from mine chatting with another artist and alot of the people crowded at the table to take pics. Yes I did too. I could not leave my table to meet him. Alot of my school friends did.
Soon it will be summer, that means another camping trip with my club for deaf bikers in June. July we will go to Michigan to visit our friends there for the fourth of July celebration. Not sure about the August plan, yet.
The cats we have here still have not gotten along yet but in due time, they probably will. It will be awhile before they do. Heh! Meow!

Romance in the Air

I know I have not written a journal for a long time! Years went by so fast. Alot has happened along the way. This year has been the best year for me, at least for now, heh! Still doing my art, drawing and painting on slates to be sold off at deaf events both in May and November.
In the midst of all, I found love again and this guy I knew when we were 14 years old back in the late 1970s in a camp for deaf children. We used write to each other then later lost contact for some years until 5 years ago I found him in Facebook under a friend of mine from residential deaf school. What a small world! She knew him and I knew him too while he knew both of us ladies. But at the time he was married, but wife was very ill then. We kept in touch via Facebook up to the time last year, I visited him one time, only 2 hours away from each other, not bad to drive that far. Then this year, his wife had a second stroke (her first was 6 years ago plus diabetes and no legs, confined to the wheelchair) to the point that she had to be taken to the hospital then to the nursing home to recover. Unfortunately she did not recovered, went down hill. She passed away in June of this year.
Then we started dating in July as he is moving on and fell in love with me and of course I wanted him, he is such a sweetie guy I ever love! Just glad that he understood a person with special needs as I have celebral palsy in my legs( I can walk but not long distance, would have to use the crutches or scooter). He is deaf or hard of hearing, he is a geek, always likes to be on the computer, loves history and reads politics..... and of course we have a lot in common.... STAR TREK, CATS, CAWWWFEEE!
His name is Neal.
We have a wonderful relationship that he decided he wanted me to move in with him as he does not like being alone. Poor man! On September 20 I made the preparation to move to his place as he had a house already paid off the mortatage. Yippeee! I was living in a small apartment, barely have room for my art supplies and to do my artwork on a small table. Neal has 3 bedrooms, so one of the rooms can be turn into an art studio... about time!!! I have so much stuff! LOL!
Still have a lot of mess to clean up before I can settle to do more work on my art to prepare for the deaf festival coming up in November 8 in northern Indiana. My art studio is about done. Next have to work on the living room and Kitchen. Can't wait for remodelling on the house as the house really needs a lot of work on due to neglect in years Neal had to take care of wife 24/7 when she was ill and bedridden, he had no time to do repairs on the house. We are getting help to repair or remodel soon. As for the art stuidio, Neal told me to do whatever I want with it. I am planning on painting the room two different shades of purple as it is my favorite color. I guess I will have the fun doing it, heh! Oh I so love Neal!
Also, this year I will be 50! I have come a long way in years. College, jobs, married 9 years and divorced, lead through a happy life living by myself, now new love. All is good in my life!
Oh could do a Snoopy dance! I am happy!! With the man I love!!!

Spring has come and the art is uploaded!

It's about time for spring to appear! I am so happy to have gotten done with my drawing of actor Brent Spiner in his webseries of Fresh Hell and have submitted it here in Deviantart. I have posted in Facebook as well as Twitter where he is at and I did tagged him, too, hehe. So far not yet received respond other than my friends' responses. I have worked so hard on it.
Summer is coming on the way and it will be time for camping again. I have been doing slate paintings and other art work. I found some smaller pieces of slate which was an ideal for making pendants with an addition of color wiring and beads. I have more requests for painting slates and drawing to sell, yaya, a job to do to keep busy. More painting to do as well for the next deaf festival in November.
